I rounded the corner to the bus stop just as the bus was pulling up, I quickened my pace just in time to reach the door before it closed. My bus driver, a very peculiar ex-soldier from the Vietnam war, was always harassing me about being late for the bus, as usual today he barked at me to sit down shut up and quite breathing. There was a rustling in the trees over my head, hard to hear over the sound of my horses rhythmic hoof beats, but it had always been said I had the ears of an owl and I had the eyes of a cat. Night time was my playground, and the sounds of a cantering horse and wind through the trees was my music. I couldn't quite remember how I had gotten to this part of the woods.
